Shedding a little Light on MX 235

Drag Radial Media had the chance to recently catch up with the young man responsible for the MX 235 Class Jordan Grunwald. MX 235 is a fairly new up and coming class that is starting to take off with events scheduled at three different races in 2015 starting off with the Outlaw Street Car Reunion being held at Memphis International Raceway on March 26-28th continuing on to Holly Springs for the Spring Shootout April 17th -19th along with the Fall Brawl Oct 16th -18th and also at Gateway International Motorsports Park July 1st 2nd. Jordan says there is a few more events in the talks with other facilities and as soon as they are locked in they will posted.

Jordan started the MX235 class to give racer’s a place with other classes like X275 becoming so competitive and the cost running in the class has become more demanding.  The MX235 class was designed to run the 235 radial tire or an 8.5 slick tire. Jordan believes combining the two tires in the class should give a place for more racers to compete and with the 8.5 class slowing growing it was time to take it to the next level.IMG_0272

A few records have been set in the class with Ray Parsons holding the E.T. record at 4.931 at Tulsa Raceway Park during the Radial Revenge Tour in 2014. The MPH record was also set at Tulsa Raceway Park by Brian Edwards at 148.41. With records being set Jordan says this class is already making a statement throughout the Midwest and he hopes that it continues to gain speed more racers signing up to race.

Jordan Grunwald has been around drag racing his entire life even though at only 16 years old he has a lot of experience in the sport. With hopes of making this a class that is recognized throughout the midwest and beyond, folks are taking note with what he is doing.  If you would like more information about the MX235 class and of future events stayed to tune to Drag Radial Media, plus check out the MX235 Facebook Page at and also at http://www.midwest-xtreme. com IMG_0154-1
